Gum diseases. Symptoms and treatment.

Gum disease is a condition caused by infections in the gums. Although the early symptoms of gum disease are usually mild, if left untreated, it can lead to tooth loss and serious dental problems. In this article, we will provide information about the symptoms and treatment of gum disease.

Symptoms:

*Bleeding, swollen or tender gums

*Redness of the gums

*Looseness or movement in the teeth remaining at the level of the gums

*Bad breath or bad taste

*Gum recession or long teeth

*Increasing spaces between teeth

Treatment: In the early stages, gum disease can be treated when it shows mild symptoms. At this stage, the gum disease is cleared by the dentist and regular brushing and flossing is recommended. In more advanced stages, treatment of gum disease is done with a treatment plan determined by your dentist.

Among the treatment options:

*Scar removal: Dentists perform scar cleaning to clean the peripheral surfaces of the gums and smooth out rough surfaces.

*Treatment of gum pockets: If the gum disease is effective below the gum line, the dentist prepares a special treatment plan for cleaning the gum pockets.

*Antibiotic therapy: Antibiotics can be used to treat gum disease.

Regular dental care is important to prevent gum disease. Brush your teeth, floss and see your dentist regularly. A healthy gum and teeth are important to your overall health. When you notice the signs of gum disease, contact your dentist immediately and get the right treatment.
